Digital cameras may be the in thing these days, but there are still a lot of photographers around the world who prefer to use film. There are various types, speeds, and sizes of film available such as 35mm, APS, 120, and 4 x 5 inch sheet film. You can also get larger sheet, as well as subminiature film.
Each speed and type speed of film is typically made for certain situations. Fast types, such as 1600 ISO, are basically produced for low-light and action photography. It is also available in a variety of exposures, including 12, 24 and 36.
There are two main types of photographic film which are print, and reversal or slide film. Prints can still be made from reversal, but it can be quite costly. Black and white reversal is available too, but it’s hard to find. Most professional photographers like to use reversal film as it generally gives them better color reproduction. There is a wide array of film available in the Los Angeles region.
