Oldsmobile is a brand manufactured by General Motors. It has a long history which began with Ransom E. Old who established his company called Olds Motor Works in 1897. This company was purchased by General Motors in 1908 and since then Oldsmobile Cars have been produced by General Motors until 2004, where it was ultimately phased out.
Oldsmobile cars came out in many different models. The most popular models were the Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme (from 1967 until 1997), Oldsmobile Toronado (from 1966 until 1992, Oldsmobile Omega (from 1973 until 1984), Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser (from 1971 until 1992), and Oldsmobile Firenza (from 1982 until 1988).
Oldsmobile cars are no longer in production and the last model - the Alero Compact Car, was brought out in 2004. The last 500 Aleros, Auroras, and Bravadas models of Oldsmobile’s had heritage emblems on them and also had marks which stated that they were the final 500 Oldsmobile vehicles in production.
